Confederate veterans' organization, Camp 389, consisting of military service records, 1861-1865 [volume onsite], unbound sheet [ca. 1890?, photostatic copy]; and two volumes of minutes (1887-1897 and 1897-1923) [stored off site]; Minutes include newspaper clippings regarding reunions, biographical sketches, obituaries, and veterans' accounts of various battles, campaigns, and individuals. Names of members frequently prefaced with the honorific, "comrade" (i.e. Comrade Johnson). Later volume, 1897-1923, includes a full-page sketch of memorial obelisk honoring Gen. Wade Hampton (p. 136), entered into the minutes between entries for Apr. and May 1902. Unbound sheet of minutes, 12 May 1891, of a meeting with Fitz William McMaster, president, presiding; battle account contributed by a member to a newspaper in Fairfield County, S.C., re siege of Petersburg written by "J.H.N.," a member and veteran of Hagood's Brigade, titled "In the Trenches of Petersburg," published in the News and Herald (Winnsboro, S.C.); (filed in oversize - this newspaper also available on microfilm).
